My name is Alinka Angelova, I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have six brothers and sisters and I currently live in Barrie, Ontario Canada.

My parents were born in Jamaica. After they were married and had my three eldest siblings, they migrated over to Canada. Like my father, I’m a dreamer. I have big dreams and high goals set for myself. Like my mother, I have a big heart and I appreciate and care for those around me no matter what.

I started to sing when I was about five years old, but everyone told me that I was terrible because I sang through my nose. So eventually I stopped singing in public. Without anyone knowing, I would practice and practice in secret. I would mimic different artists on the radio until I could find my own sound.

When I was 10yrs. old, my oldest brother Don happened to be writing a song one day, and he coincidently asked me to sing him a song. So I did as he asked and sang him a song. When I sang, he was so impressed that he called all of my brothers and sisters into the room. I then sang for all my brothers and sisters. They were all pleasantly surprised and started hugging me with excitement! I even remember the exact song that I sang and how I sang it. That day is the day that has contributed to making me the singer I am now and it will go down in history.

Shortly after that experience, two of my brothers, Robert and Jerome began working with me on expanding my vocal and performing abilities. This is when I began to write my own material and I am still writing till this day.

She has been my rock, my shield, my every thing. There is no possible way that I could have succeeded in any of my accomplishments without her and the love of God that is within her. She is the reason why I am the way I am today. If she was not my mother, who knows what kind of person I would have been.

Throughout my life I performed at many, many functions such as concerts, weddings, talent shows, musical plays, carnivals, night clubs, social gatherings, and television programs.

I love to write all types of songs, movies, sitcoms, musicals, talent shows, production shows etc.

Besides singing, performing, and writing, I also like to dance, choreograph dances, read,

In 2004 I produced a show that I created called “Born to be a Star!”, a variety talent show designed for children between the ages of 6-18yrs. old. I also wrote and produced a musical called, “At Last!” in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, out of 15,000 applicants, I was a top 32 finalist on “Canadian Idol”. I worked as a production singer for Carnival Cruise Lines for year, where I met my amazing husband, Borislav Angelov.

My musical style falls in the category of pop/soft rock. I can sing almost every other musical genre but pop rock describes me best.

I believe in myself more than you can imagine. I am very ambitious and I have a lot of talent to offer the world. I will not stop until I get the chance to show everyone who I am and what I can do!
